was the medalist with a round of 69. But
Covelli lost in the first round to Tommy
Welton of The Bog in Cedarburg, 1-up.
Welton won the Senior Match Play in 2009.
Bemowski has now won the tournament
four times, including the last three. He also
won it in 2004.

WPLA BILLY SIXTY BESTBALL _____________________________________
Longtime tournament partners John
Haines and Tom Halla won the Billy Sixty
Bestball Championship in a playoff in late
July at Whitnall Park GC in Hales Corners.
The tournament is put on by the Wiscon-
sin Public Links Association.
Clubs, who also shot 79. A sudden-death
playoff was held, but it didn’t last long as
the Hayeses made par on the first playoff
hole.
Darlene and Brent Kern from Edgerton
Towne CC finished third with a round of 80.
In addition to gross competition, the
WWSGA Mother-Son Championship
includes a net tournament and flights.
In the overall low net competition, Deb
Beischel of Tripoli CC in Milwaukee and
Andrew Beischel of Blue Mound G&CC in
Wauwatosa shot 68 to win the title.
Karen and Chad Kroening of Hidden
Glen GC in Cedarburg finished second in
net with a 70. And Dolly and Bob Zeihen
of Brighton Dale Links GC in Kansasville
were third with a 71.
