Busler, a current member of the UW
women’s team, had a decent shot at victory
as well. She hit a pretty tee shot on the
par- 3 11th hole to about 5 feet and made
the birdie putt. But she recorded bogeys on
Nos. 13, 17 and 18 on the way to the club-
house, and those strokes proved decisive as
she finished three strokes out of the lead.

The WSGA Pater-Filius Championship
was first held in 1911. The tournament cel-
ebrated its 100th anniversary last season.
The Pater-Filius format is an alternate-
shot competition.

WSGA JUNIOR BOYS _____________________________________

first round and closed with a 75 to finish at
3-under-par 213.
Charles and Bryan Kendall won the gross
title in a playoff at the Wisconsin State Golf
Association Pater-Filius Championship,
sponsored by West Bend Insurance.
The tournament – which includes net and
gross competitions in amateur and open
divisions – was held Aug. 14 on the two
Charlie Danielson recorded the low score
of the tournament with a terrific 66 in the
second round to win the WSGA Junior
Boy’s Championship, sponsored by Culver’s,
at the River Club of Mequon in August.
