In the WWSGA Junior Girls Champi-
onship, which runs concurrently with the
Women’s Match Play, Gabby Curtis of the
WPGA Junior GC defeated Grace Dunn of
Muskego Lakes CC in 19 holes.
Curtis and Dunn tied for the low qualifying
score, as they both shot 79.

WWSGA MOTHER-DAUGHTER
CHAMPIONSHIP
Reece and Casey Peterson of Tripoli CC
in Milwaukee won the gross title at the
WWSGA Mother-Daughter Championship.
The amateur championship was held at
Ozaukee CC in Mequon on June 18.
Reece Peterson – the mom in the pairing
– has won the women’s club championship
at Tripoli several times, and daughter
Casey Peterson is a former player at the
University of Dayton.
The Petersons shot a score of 12-over-par
84 in the alternate-shot format, which was
two strokes better than Sarah Schubert and
Christine Stippich of Western Lakes GC in
Pewaukee, who shot 86.
Two teams tied for third in the gross com-
petition. Liza Ruetten and Nancy Parlow of
Lakeshore Municipal GC in Oshkosh and
Jeanne Zeske and Ramona Hackbarth of
Naga-Waukee GC in Pewaukee shot
rounds of 87.
In the net competition, Schubert and
Stippich won the title with a 76. One stroke
back at 77 were Holly and Linda Finnigan
of Ozaukee CC.
