In the semifinals, Marschall defeated
Mary Welch of Blackhawk CC in Madison,
3 and 1; and Leef beat Jennifer Konop of
Green Bay CC in 20 holes.
Syd Wells emerged as medalist in the
stroke-play qualifier that begins the week
with a round of 74. Marschall was second
at 75, and Abbie Busler of Foxboro GC in
Oregon was third at 76. Leef qualified
