The 111th Wisconsin State
Amateur Championship, sponsored by

WHEN:
July 16-18
WHERE:
The Club at Strawberry Creek in
Kenosha is a private facility. Its par-72
golf course measures 7,113 yards from
the back tees.
WHO:
The field consists of 180 of the
best amateur golfers in Wisconsin.
FORMAT:
72 holes of stroke play over
four days. The field will be cut to the low
70 scores and ties after 36 holes.
LAST YEAR:
Germantown native Mike
McDonald, a former Marquette University
player, earned a one-stroke victory in
steamy conditions at Maple Bluff CC in
Madison with a total of 1-over-par 285.
College players Jack Schultz (Michigan)
and Ricky Hearden (Illinois State) tied for
second place.
