Middleton opened with a score of 308
and followed with a 300 on day two in hot,
windy conditions. Middleton finished at
32-over-par 608, while Arrowhead was second at 618. Milwaukee Marquette finished
third at 629.
Ben Skogen of Onalaska earned Division
1 medalist honors with a score of 72-73–
145 to finish at 1 over par. Jack McKinney
of Marquette was runner-up at 73-74-147.
In Division 2, Notre Dame shot the low
team score of the week with a score of
300-301–601, which is believed to be a
Division 2 record. Notre Dame was in the
driver’s seat after round one and breezed
to a 34-stroke win over Madison Edgewood,
which shot 328-307–635. Osceola was
third at 636 (315-321).
Gene Kiela III of Plymouth won the
Division 2 individual title in come-from-
behind fashion over defending champion
Charlie Danielson of Osceola. Kiela shot
73 and trailed Danielson by three shots
after the first round, but Kiela shot a
final-round 69 to finish at 142 and beat
Danielson (70-75–145) by three shots.
